EMS responds to an average of 16 emergency medical calls every day

Middletown's Emergency Medical Service Department consists of five all-volunteer first aid squads. The Township funds vehicles, uniforms and equipment for the squads.

This excellent program is

Township of Middletown EMS Explorers

Open to males and females from 14-17 years old
All training provided (e.g., CPR and basic first aid)
Meetings and drills are held twice a month
Explorers over 16 can join the EMS crews answering real 9-1-1 medical calls, once all training is completed
Participate in annual Rude Awakening program’s EMS demonstration
