We are made up of five separate volunteer EMS agencies:
Each squad is assigned specific shifts to cover the Township during the weekday, weekend, and overnight.
You need to be at least 18 years or older, a legal US resident, and physically capable of performing the duties of providing EMS service.
For those people 14-17 years old, we have an EMS Explorer Program.
For those wishing to help out in other ways (administrative only), contact us for more details.
These are required to start riding on EMS calls:
A valid driver’s license and Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or equivalent, to drive vehicles.
Emergency Medical Technician is needed to start treating patients, but you can start riding EMS calls before you have that training.
All training is either conducted in-house or via outside agencies and is paid for by the squads.
Riding members should be available to staff several shifts a month. Evening shifts are from 5pm to 10pm, weekend shifts are from 5am to 1:30pm and 1:30pm to 10pm, and overnight shifts are from 10pm to 5am.
We have monthly squad meetings, monthly department meetings, and other standby and community events.
Send it in and once we get it, someone will contact you for the next step, which will be a criminal background check.
Once the check clears, we can accept you as a new member and get you started on a rewarding volunteer experience.
